Pocket Gamer logged in this morning to discover that a news bomb had been dropped in its back garden. We've notified the relevant authorities, so now all that remains is to wonder what's going to happen when is explodes during this year's E3 in June.
The first thing that comes to mind is that 3D motion-tracking technology already exists in the DSi, as Rittai Kakushi e Attakoreda - which has been ricocheting around our part of the blogosphere - demonstrates.

Nintendo has announced (pdf) that it will unveil hand held console DSi's successor which is called the Nintendo 3DS (at least for now). This new 3DS console will allow users to enjoy 3D games without using any special glasses. Sounds novel, eh? Additional details about the Nintendo 3DS console would be uncovered at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 scheduled in June.

What we heard: As far back as November 2006, Microsoft has been making references to a "Gears of War Trilogy." At the 2008 Game Developers Conference, Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski made a surprise appearance to announce Gears of War 2 would ship later that year--just two years after the original.
Given those two precedents, many expected some news about Gears of War 3 at Epic Games' GDC 2010 press briefing leading up to a fall 2010 release. However, the developer instead used its presentation to show off some new features of its Unreal Engine 3 and how they're being used in the massively multiplayer action game APB.
